Jo has recently joined the college after working as a business development officer for a private training provider for 18 months. Jo has over 10 years of experience in the training and education sector is also a qualified assessor having in the past delivered apprenticeships, key/functional skills, workshops and training in activity leadership, leisure management, customer service, business administration, team leading and management.
Jo’s main role is to develop the colleges’ apprenticeship programme, specialising in Construction, Motor Vehicle and Engineering, working in partnership with local and national businesses to create and develop apprenticeship opportunities for primarily 16-23 year olds in the local and wider Lincolnshire/Humber area.
Jo works very closely with businesses to identify their recruitment and training needs and to help find suitable apprentices to fill the roles created by employers. Jo is also one of the team members who is on hand to discuss funding opportunities through the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for SME’s with under 250 employees.
Prior to joining the company Jo has worked as an assessor in a wide range of vocational areas and this enabled her to engage with employers and understand their requirements regarding apprenticeships. Jo is a very motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who is passionate about her work and always delivers excellent customer service to all clients.
In Jo’s spare time she likes to be very active and can generally be found organising her friends and families social events. Which recently has included, taking part in the Major Series 10k mud run at Braham Park in Leeds, the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the Cross Country Transpennine Trail, a 250 mile sponsored bike ride from Southport to Hull in aid of a Oakwood Dog Rescue.
